Logan and the incounter with the buffalo
Logan went on a trip with his 11 year old scout troop. There were 5 boys and 2 leaders, james being one of the leaders, well there were 2 James leaders, any way. They didn't leave on time and got to camp really late, they were setting up camp and a buffalo was coming towards them and James looked up and said if it comes any closer run to the truck and get in, well it started getting closer and James said he felt like George from Senfield when there was a fire in the the apartment at a child's b-day party and he pushed all the women and children out of the way to get out. What he was think was that he would make it to the bed of the truck first and grab the boys hands and pull them in but he just felt bad about how it looked. Well they all hopped into the truck and the buffalo just kept getting closer, then it bent down to get a drink of water, so they must of set up camp in a water hole because in the morning another one was there getting a drink. So Logan got really close to a buffalo. Then the rest night they told ghost stories and buffalo stories and one of the boys wanted to go home and didn't sleep.
Britt's field trip
Brittin got to go to this is the place for her fourth grade field trip. She was so excited because her dad was going to come, well show up for a little bit of it. But another reason was she would have to square dance with a boy !!!. She really didn't want too, but the boys she got partnered with is one of her good friends so it worked out. By the look on her face you can tell she was having fun. She also got picked to wear the dunce hat in the school house, I have a picture like that when I was in fourth grade and we went on a field trip but it was in Ca., well my mom has a picture of it and who knows where that is, but someday I can line them up, like mother like daughter. She stayed up all night picking out her out fit that would match her hat, she is really getting into clothes and stuff, but they are clothes she likes not what mom picks out. Oh the beginning of trouble, I wish she would care a little bit more about her hair some days but oh well, pretty soon she wont leave the bathroom with out everything in place so I should be counting my blessings now. She loved pushing the had cart and being with her friends. The way it got split was I was one of the helpers and it was her and 3 boys but she just put a smile on and had a great time. That is one of the things I love most about her, when she wants to have a good time no one or thing will stop her. Her teacher was so great this year she is really going to miss him. The only thing that is keeping her going is that this year she will be one more year closer to being in 6th grade, the leader of the school.
P.S. if you look back in June 2009 you can see logan having a dance with a girl in the same place as brittin
Brit's double digit party
So Brittin turned 10 ( double digits) this year and she made me do 2 parties, one with friends from school and the neighborhood and one for her soccer buddies. For her birthday she got a ripstick and learned to ride it in a week, I can't even get my foot on it without it wheeling away. Logan got good at it too, he couldn't let his little sister do something better than him. We went to a gymnastic place and they let them jump everywhere and do everything. They were such nice girls they each gave her a present exactly what she wanted. She made it to the top of the rope and got a rope burn on the way down. For her home birthday party she had a soccer themed party, imagine that. We played soccer with pretzel sticks and cheese puffs, kicked a soccer ball in the laundry basket and Crockett soccer, those girls were really nice too. She has really picked some great friends. I was pretty busy getting ready for this parties but it all worked out. She has done a great job in soccer this year, getting stronger and smarter. I just hope she stays safe. Last week her team scrimmaged the boy team their age and they kept up with them, Brittin loved playing rough. I hope she keeps up her intensity she is such a fun player to watch.
