Logan and the incounter with the buffalo

Logan went on a trip with his 11 year old scout troop. There were 5 boys and 2 leaders, james being one of the leaders, well there were 2 James leaders, any way. They didn't leave on time and got to camp really late, they were setting up camp and a buffalo was coming towards them and James looked up and said if it comes any closer run to the truck and get in, well it started getting closer and James said he felt like George from Senfield when there was a fire in the the apartment at a child's b-day party and he pushed all the women and children out of the way to get out. What he was think was that he would make it to the bed of the truck first and grab the boys hands and pull them in but he just felt bad about how it looked. Well they all hopped into the truck and the buffalo just kept getting closer, then it bent down to get a drink of water, so they must of set up camp in a water hole because in the morning another one was there getting a drink. So Logan got really close to a buffalo. Then the rest night they told ghost stories and buffalo stories and one of the boys wanted to go home and didn't sleep.

Britt's field trip

Brittin got to go to this is the place for her fourth grade field trip. She was so excited because her dad was going to come, well show up for a little bit of it. But another reason was she would have to square dance with a boy !!!. She really didn't want too, but the boys she got partnered with is one of her good friends so it worked out. By the look on her face you can tell she was having fun. She also got picked to wear the dunce hat in the school house, I have a picture like that when I was in fourth grade and we went on a field trip but it was in Ca., well my mom has a picture of it and who knows where that is, but someday I can line them up, like mother like daughter. She stayed up all night picking out her out fit that would match her hat, she is really getting into clothes and stuff, but they are clothes she likes not what mom picks out. Oh the beginning of trouble, I wish she would care a little bit more about her hair some days but oh well, pretty soon she wont leave the bathroom with out everything in place so I should be counting my blessings now. She loved pushing the had cart and being with her friends. The way it got split was I was one of the helpers and it was her and 3 boys but she just put a smile on and had a great time. That is one of the things I love most about her, when she wants to have a good time no one or thing will stop her. Her teacher was so great this year she is really going to miss him. The only thing that is keeping her going is that this year she will be one more year closer to being in 6th grade, the leader of the school. P.S. if you look back in June 2009 you can see logan having a dance with a girl in the same place as brittin

Brit's double digit party

So Brittin turned 10 ( double digits) this year and she made me do 2 parties, one with friends from school and the neighborhood and one for her soccer buddies. For her birthday she got a ripstick and learned to ride it in a week, I can't even get my foot on it without it wheeling away. Logan got good at it too, he couldn't let his little sister do something better than him. We went to a gymnastic place and they let them jump everywhere and do everything. They were such nice girls they each gave her a present exactly what she wanted. She made it to the top of the rope and got a rope burn on the way down. For her home birthday party she had a soccer themed party, imagine that. We played soccer with pretzel sticks and cheese puffs, kicked a soccer ball in the laundry basket and Crockett soccer, those girls were really nice too. She has really picked some great friends. I was pretty busy getting ready for this parties but it all worked out. She has done a great job in soccer this year, getting stronger and smarter. I just hope she stays safe. Last week her team scrimmaged the boy team their age and they kept up with them, Brittin loved playing rough. I hope she keeps up her intensity she is such a fun player to watch.

easter 2011

We dyed Easter eggs and had a fun time, Kolbryn wasn't acting nice and had to dye them later that day. The kids like to eat them and dye them, I think it was on 1 hour and then they were being eaten

Kolby baptism

My third child was baptised does that mean I am old or what. Can any one guess how long it took for him to repent. It was 2 1/2 hours. I had a bball game right after and on the way over to it he beat up his brother, Darn I thought it might be the only thing to get him under control, so know I have to do the work of raising him right. He had his grandpa baptise him and dad comfirm him. He wanted uncle Eric but dad said he need to do something for him. We had a Baptism with Teniyah and it was really fun, they got blessed together and now baptized together, now they need to get married and the same time. This was his birthday party so he invited his friends and he was so happy to have 2 show up. One was Whitney and one was Austin. He plays with them at school Austin even left his baseball meeting early to make it there. What nice friends. Kolbryn is trying really hard to remember who and what he is now and I am so proud of his decision to become a member of THe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Now I just have to keep him with good friends and remembering how to repent.

mothers day memory

I woke up to a yummy breakfast of french toast and morning shake. I didn't even have to be ask where anything was ex. where do we keep the eggs, where is a bowl. Getting the kids to church is another story, they are showered and dressed by 10 and church is at 11 but they are still running around at 10:55 looking for last min. things like socks and shoes. one of the memories that made me laugh and all the congeragtion at church was Brecken. In our ward we had the primary kids sing 2 songs, well the 3 older kids were talking about how they were just going to mouth the words and that would be their controbution but Brecken couldn't wait. So when we heard the order of the speakers and songs I said as soon as Bro. Stone is done with his talk it is time to sing. A little later I told Brecken remember after Bro. Stone it will be your turn, he said really. So Bro. Stone says amen and Brecken starts heading up there before any other kids are going, my big ones say they are staying down but I make them go, so no one was with him, I look up after pushing the big kids out of the row, just to let you know we sit in the back of the over flow in the stake center so it is a big walk, James' favorite spot. So I look up and Brecken walks right up to the microphone and I think great he is going to be the only one heard singing, because he will be in the microphone and no one else will sing, but then he starts saying I would like to bear my Testimony, I know this church is true, but he is a little hard to hear because he is talking so close to the microphone and the way he talks, then he stops talking, everyone starts laughing, so I think the whole thing is over, well no one is sing and I hear this crying, I ask James is that Brecken he says no, well yesterday it was finally sunny and he had a sun burn and all I could see was the top of his head behind the potium so I didn't know if it was red from crying of his sun burn, so I finally get past james and have to make my long walk up to the front, well he is still at the microphone and all the rest of our very huge priamry is in the way I can't get to him, the bishopric is trying to get him and makes him scream even louder, I duck in between the piano and the organ and grab him. He is just crying and they finally start singing I ask him what is wrong and he said , I didn't know what else to say. So here it is that I thought he was embarassed from people laughing at him because he was talking instead of singing but he was just upset because he couldn't finish his testimony. Then I start crying. I thought that was so sweet and I felt so bad that I wasn't there to help him. WE stayed up there as they sang and left when they were done. We went out and got a drink and calmed down. So the next speaker said I'm just as nervous and Bro. Kearl but I wont cry. That got another laugh from the crowd. What is funny that a couple weeks before James was filling in for the counter guy in Sacrament meeting and the speaker talking during his talk made a comment and a joke about Bro Kearl, So the moral of the story is if you are trying to make a joke use a Kearl. :) After we were in the hall and everyone said how funny it was, then I had to tell the funnest thing was that he wanted to say more. Then I had a great dinner and dessert and clean up Update on Brecken, when I put him to bed he said " mom why did the Bishop ask a little kid to bear his testimony" he still doesn't know that he was suppost to be singing and not giving a testimony.

Christmas box

The kids were in a lot of trouble when we were putting up the tree, so I didn't even want to take their picture of them in the box but here it is. Last year Logan said he was too big to fit in but look a whole year older and they all fit. And with their timeless faces to boot.

Yes ,Crazy hair day

Brittin's class won their own special crazy hair day, they get party days, extra recesses, eat in the gym for turning in box tops, She had it all planed out what she wanted, It took a half hour, for a girl who hates getting her hair comb a half hour was an eternity. She got her hair pulled and didn't run a way saying I don't want my hair combed. She also got to be a lunch worker, this is bestowed on you when you have reached the rank of a fourth grader. All the classes take turns and then the kids in the class take turns, you get to do it for a week, you either get to sweep, wash tables, clean plates or pass out food, each day you switch for a week, then this magnificate job switches to another lucky fourth grader. So Brittin couldn't wait for me to come and take a picture of her, her best job was passing out food, the worst was sweeping it made her arm hurt. Now I want you to look at all the descriptions of the jobs, this is exactly what we do at home, but not with the same reaction but I guess if I gave them out this styling hat it might put a spin on the jobs, I guess it is like frosty the snowman, it gives you life. So that is my job while the kids are off track to find hats that will make their chores fun. Brittin just had to serve Brecken 3.00 for a slice of cold pizza. Needless to say I didn't eat but then we stayed and had lunch with Kolby.
