mothers day memory

I woke up to a yummy breakfast of french toast and morning shake. I didn't even have to be ask where anything was ex. where do we keep the eggs, where is a bowl. Getting the kids to church is another story, they are showered and dressed by 10 and church is at 11 but they are still running around at 10:55 looking for last min. things like socks and shoes. one of the memories that made me laugh and all the congeragtion at church was Brecken. In our ward we had the primary kids sing 2 songs, well the 3 older kids were talking about how they were just going to mouth the words and that would be their controbution but Brecken couldn't wait. So when we heard the order of the speakers and songs I said as soon as Bro. Stone is done with his talk it is time to sing. A little later I told Brecken remember after Bro. Stone it will be your turn, he said really. So Bro. Stone says amen and Brecken starts heading up there before any other kids are going, my big ones say they are staying down but I make them go, so no one was with him, I look up after pushing the big kids out of the row, just to let you know we sit in the back of the over flow in the stake center so it is a big walk, James' favorite spot. So I look up and Brecken walks right up to the microphone and I think great he is going to be the only one heard singing, because he will be in the microphone and no one else will sing, but then he starts saying I would like to bear my Testimony, I know this church is true, but he is a little hard to hear because he is talking so close to the microphone and the way he talks, then he stops talking, everyone starts laughing, so I think the whole thing is over, well no one is sing and I hear this crying, I ask James is that Brecken he says no, well yesterday it was finally sunny and he had a sun burn and all I could see was the top of his head behind the potium so I didn't know if it was red from crying of his sun burn, so I finally get past james and have to make my long walk up to the front, well he is still at the microphone and all the rest of our very huge priamry is in the way I can't get to him, the bishopric is trying to get him and makes him scream even louder, I duck in between the piano and the organ and grab him. He is just crying and they finally start singing I ask him what is wrong and he said , I didn't know what else to say. So here it is that I thought he was embarassed from people laughing at him because he was talking instead of singing but he was just upset because he couldn't finish his testimony. Then I start crying. I thought that was so sweet and I felt so bad that I wasn't there to help him. WE stayed up there as they sang and left when they were done. We went out and got a drink and calmed down. So the next speaker said I'm just as nervous and Bro. Kearl but I wont cry. That got another laugh from the crowd. What is funny that a couple weeks before James was filling in for the counter guy in Sacrament meeting and the speaker talking during his talk made a comment and a joke about Bro Kearl, So the moral of the story is if you are trying to make a joke use a Kearl. :) After we were in the hall and everyone said how funny it was, then I had to tell the funnest thing was that he wanted to say more. Then I had a great dinner and dessert and clean up Update on Brecken, when I put him to bed he said " mom why did the Bishop ask a little kid to bear his testimony" he still doesn't know that he was suppost to be singing and not giving a testimony.
